Step 1. Free download and install DVD to MKV Converter on your computer

Intel Version and PowerPC Version

After running this Mac DVD to MKV converting software, click Load DVD or Load IFO button, select a DVD files in the dialog box that opens, and load it. The Loaded DVD video information will be showed in the file list, such as source and original length etc will be showed in the file list

3. Video Effect

If you want to adjust the video effect of your movie, you can click the Effect button and drag each effect adjustment slider to set the video brightness, contrast, saturation and video volume. You can also choose a special effect from the Effect drop-down list to apply to your movie.

Step 3. Select and customize the output format

At the top of the Preview window, you can find the following output setting options:

Filename: Name the output file for the current title/chapter.
Subtitle: Regular DVD movies usually have several subtitles such as English, French etc.
Audio:Select an audio track from the available audio tracks of your DVD movie.

At the bottom of the main window, you can select the output formats:

Click “Format” drop-down button, then a new Window props up as below. You select the formats you need. For we need convert DVD to MKV on Mac, we select the MKV video format as the output format. Then click “Browse” button to select a destination folder in the window that opens, click OK.
