The Need For Natural Herbal Remedies Has Never Been Greater Than It is Today

For many the idea that natural herbal remedies could help them lead a healthier more productive life is quite simply something they don’t consider possible. Perhaps it is the constant media blitz that touts the benefits of the latest and greatest new drugs or thinking that natural herbal remedies are old and tired. Nevertheless, what we do know is that health cost are out of control and the incidences of serious disease have never been higher.
Maybe the best example of this is my friend Terry. He is well a well educated entrepreneur who has achieved a certain level of success in his life that most can only dream of, that is in every area but his health. Almost every time we get together he talks about how poorly he is feeling and then brings up his last doctors visit, where he has been prescribed the latest and greatest prescription medication. At last count the number is ten different medications including everything from pills to help him sleep to cholesterol medications. Terry always mentions that he would love to try a more natural approach but simply doesn’t know where to start, and furthermore his doctors are not receptive to the idea. I always listen, give him another one of business cards with my website address http://purchaseremedies.com , and reinforce the idea of perhaps implementation at least a couple of natural herbal remedies might be a good first step.
I am quite sure this same scenario plays out over and over again in millions of people’s lives. By no means am I advocating that all prescription medications are bad or that natural herbal remedies are the solution to all our health problems. They are not. But what I see is a form of medicine being used by some well meaning physicians that could be more aptly described as disease care combined with prescription staking. In other words one medication needing to be prescribed to offset the side effects of another.
This approach is making people more and more reliant on multiple medications to manage their illnesses and conditions rather than implementing a wellness program consisting of lifestyle modification, reducing dietary fat intake, increasing fiber and plant consumption, nutritional supplementation and smoking cessation.
After all it seems much simpler to go to your doctor and let him/her prescribe wellness rather than go through all the above steps. But the facts simply don’t support the idea that health can be prescribed. The truth is incidences of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity, and depression (just to name a few) are on the rise and healthcare cost continue to skyrocket despite the continued development of new drugs.
In summary, rather than reacting to disease after it happens a large dose of prevention may be what is needed. By implementing a healthy lifestyle, smart diet choices, attitude adjustment techniques (yoga), and natural herbal remedies we will be doing our part to make sure that we lead a happy and healthy life free of disease.
